Hi, I'm Alisha...
I wasn’t always the fitness professional you see today.
In fact, as a kid, I was the furthest thing from athletic. I played musical instruments—not sports—and I vividly remember being the last person to finish the mile in gym class. I felt embarrassed and convinced that I just wasn’t built for this kind of thing.
I still remember the exact moment my fitness journey began. It wasn’t on a sports field (I avoided those). It wasn’t in gym class (I hated those). It was my senior year of high school, the day they introduced us to the weight room.
For once, I didn’t have to throw, catch, or dodge anything. No more feeling uncoordinated. No more dreading PE. I picked up a barbell, felt my own strength for the first time, and something just clicked. From that moment on, I was hooked.
But my journey wasn’t always smooth. In college, I thought exercise was just something I had to check off a list. I spent hours on the stair stepper, trying to be “skinny,” and got sucked into unhealthy eating habits—undereating, fearing carbs, fearing fat, and feeling exhausted all the time. It wasn’t until I learned how to fuel my body properly and train with intention that everything changed.
Now, as a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, I help women over 40 who feel like their bodies are working against them finally see results—without starving themselves, punishing workouts, or metabolic confusion.
Because when you stop fighting your body and start giving it what it actually needs, everything gets easier.
